Bought a used Ford Explorer from a US Army guy who had cross countried a couple of times. A 4x4 XLT with a 6 CD changer and sun/moon roof.
This car has served me well over the last 7+ yrs, with very little maintenance.
Car Battery:
Replaced the battery on 4/18/09 - Kirkland brand from Costco. $75 850CCA Group 65
Serpentine Belt:
Replaced Jun 1st 2010 - including pulley and tensioner.
Rear Brakes:
Replaced Jun 1st 2010. Brake fluid also.
Need to get an K&N air filter to see if there is any improvement in milage/power. Avg is about 16/17mpg with mostly highway driving.
